Alternative Etching Workshop - With Liz Chalfin

Liz Chalfin, founder and director of Zea Mays Printmaking will offer a two-day workshop in Etching on Copper. Zea Mays Printmaking has been a leader in safer printmaking for over a decade and Liz brings her expertise in the field to this exciting workshop. This workshop will cover the techniques of hardground and softground etching using BIG (Baldwin's Ink Ground), the wonderful new ground from Wales along with a variety of exciting techniques such as sandpaper aquatint and coffee lift (a sugar lift substitute). Participants will learn each process through demonstration and experimentation with support from the instructor.
