"Water Marks" is an exhibition of original contemporary fine art prints from fifty members of the MPC Printmakers. Curated by Helaine Glick, Assistant Curator, Monterey Museum of Art, Water Marks explores our special relationship with water in representative, abstract and nonobjective artworks.
Using traditional and non-traditional processes, these artists depict rain, snow, ice, oceans, rivers, and tears; the drama of flood and drought, other-worldly sea creatures, shore birds and the global politics of water use. Prints include etchings, woodcuts, screenprints, monotypes, monoprints, and mixed media prints.
